Theppswood House is running creative one day workshops from May 2019. These workshops will take place in the original drawing room of this Edwardian mansion, amid beautiful Surrey countryside and surrounding gardens.
The aim is to gather local practising artists together to tutor small groups of adults on either Saturdays or Sundays. All workshops will start at 10am and finish at 4pm. A homemade buffet lunch is included together with tea, coffee and cakes served throughout the day.
Bringing the outdoors in, many of these workshops will require plant material which can be sourced either from the gardens at Theppswood or brought in by individuals. Photographic material is also occasionally used. Workshops will also include working in the garden directly to paint flowers or landscapes during the Summer and Autumn. Each artist has a unique way of working and we are starting our workshops with a wide range of creative activities available to you including Botanical drawing and painting, Botanical casting using plaster and clay, Pen, line and wash landscapes and Collograph printmaking. The range of workshops available will grow as Theppswood House hosts a wider range of visiting artists and horticulturists. With your interest and support this will happen and Theppswood House will GROW!
